How to delete your Tech-Ping account
This page applies to the Tech-Ping app listed in Google Play and to the Tech-Ping web app.
If you have an active paid membership, cancel it in Google Play or in Tech-Ping web billing first. Deleting your Tech-Ping account does not cancel Google Play or Paddle billing.
- Sign in to your Tech-Ping account on the web or in the Android app.
- Open Settings, then choose Delete account.
- Type DELETE when prompted. If your account uses a password, also enter your current password.
- Submit the deletion request and wait for the confirmation message that your account was deleted.
- If you cannot sign in, email [email protected] from the email address on the account and request account deletion assistance.
Data Tech-Ping deletes
When account deletion succeeds, Tech-Ping deletes the live account record and the user-scoped product data attached to it.
- Profile and authentication data such as your email address, password hash, active sessions, API keys, verification tokens, and linked OAuth or Discord records.
- Device and preference data such as registered devices, notification settings, timezone, theme, and analytics preference state.
- Product data such as watchlists, tracked markets, signals, signal state, alert-delivery history, and analytics events tied to your account.
- Billing-linkage rows stored inside Tech-Ping for your account, such as subscriptions, entitlements, and Google Play purchase linkage records.
Data Tech-Ping may keep
Some records are retained after account deletion because they are needed for security, fraud prevention, incident investigation, customer support, or legal and financial obligations.
- Audit logs created before deletion may remain, but their direct user link is cleared.
- Support emails or support-case notes you sent to Tech-Ping may remain in support systems or email records.
- Provider-side billing and transaction records kept by Google Play or Paddle remain subject to those providers' own retention and legal obligations.
- Shared market data, historical market snapshots, and other non-account-specific product data are not deleted because they are not personal account records.
Retention timing
Tech-Ping does not apply an additional live-app retention period to the user-scoped account data listed above after a successful deletion request; that data is removed as part of the account deletion flow.
Retained audit, support, and provider-side billing records do not currently have a single fixed purge window. They are kept only as long as reasonably needed for security, support, financial, or legal obligations.
